What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • State three different ways food can be stored
    • Identify where in a shop you can find the following: ice cream, fresh milk, hot cooked chicken, dried pasta
    • State why foods are stored in this manner

     

     

    • Demonstrate how to store the following foods safely: uncooked meat, cooked chicken, opened milk and bread
    • State, with support, two problems that may arise from storing food incorrectly
