Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Prepare themself for a colouring service and wear the correct personal protective equipment
    • Prepare a client for a colouring service and use the correct personal protective equipment
    • Prepare the work area for a colouring service, using the correct equipment and tools 
    • Communicate with a client and behave in a professional manner
    • Position themself and client appropriately throughout the service i.e correct posture
    • Section hair ready for highlighting techniques
    • Mix the false colour (conditioner and flour) to correct consistency
    • Weave highlights and use either foils or a spatula for colour techniques
    • Remove the false colour and foils from the client's hair
