Learning outcomes

What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do

The learner will:

  1. Participate in a sensory cooking/baking activity.

  2. Participate in a sensory cleaning activity.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Be supported to participate in a sensory exploration of ingredients and/or equipment during the above cooking/baking activity, for example; feeling flour, smelling lemon, hearing the food processor
    • Show a response to an ingredient/equipment- this could include indicating a preference by persisting in the exploration or indicating a dislike
    • Take part in a cleaning activity being supported to participate in a sensory exploration of the equipment and/or processes during the above activity, for example feeling the bubbles whilst washing up, making and smelling a cleaning product
    • Show a response to a piece of equipment/process- this could include indicating a preference by persisting in the exploration or indicating a dislike
