The learner can:

    • As part of a group discussion, establish how often people use social media to communicate with people they have never met.
    • Identify two advantages of communicating through social media with someone you have never met.
    • Identify two disadvantages of communicating through social media with someone you have never met.
    • Describe what is meant by "Grooming".
    • Suggest two practical methods of preventing someone being 'groomed' though social media.
    • Identify at least two organisations who offer support and advice to those affected by grooming.
