Be able to identify and discuss sources of news that people engage with on regular basis.

  • Discuss with others how they use different ways to engage with the news across the week
  • Survey a group of five people asking them how they access news
  • Show results using a graph or pictograph

Be able to recognise different types of news events.

  • Identify at least three differnt types of news events e.g. school, local, national, world
  • Produce a short summary of at least three different types of news event
  • Identify how news stories affect them personally
