What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Name and state the function of the parts of light microscope when shown on a worksheet
    • Power up a light microscope
    • Insert a preprepared slide on the microscope stage
    • Focus the specimen on a range of magnification by using the different objective lenses
    • Use the coarse and fine focus adjustment knobs
    • Share any observations about the specimen as the magnification changes
