The learner can:

    • Identify what LGBT+ stands for
    • Explain what each of the terms are
    • Identify whether it is legal to be gay in the UK and if it has always been legal
    • Identify at least five countries of the world in which it is illegal to be gay
    • State whether gay couples can legally be married in the UK
    • Identify whether it has always been legal in the UK for gay couples to have civil partnerships
    • Explain the differences between a civil partnership and marriage
