The learner can:

    • Participate in five different activities eg music, cooking, sport, ICT, art, sensory room
    • Use own communication strategies with a range of staff to indicate they would like an activity to continue through known strategies eg symbols, signing or words such as 'more' or 'again'
    • Use own communication strategies to indicate they would like an activity to stop through known strategies eg symbols, signing or words such as 'stop' or 'no'
    • Indicate preference of an activity from a choice of four, using communication strategies such as photographs, symbols or words
