What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do

The learner will:

  1. Be able to use single hand under hand or on-body BSL signs in response to a prompt.

  2. Be able to use on-body or hand under hand signs spontaneously.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Use three new signs to identify objects or people when presented with them
    • Use three new signs in response to a signed question or interaction
    • Use at least two new signs spontaneously eg to request things, greet people, comment on something
