What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Use balancing scales to measure weights
    • Use non-standard units to measure capacity
    • Add more or take away to make bigger or smaller amounts
    • Compare the weight or capacity of items directly
    • Carry out cooking activities for a given length of time stopping when the time is finished
    • Carry out cooking activities and stop when asked
    • Use vocabulary linked to time when cooking i.e. 'ready', 'fast', 'finished'
