The learner can:

    • Identify the properties of at least three materials
    • Choose suitable materials for each part of a model based on their properties
    • Plan a model by writing or drawing instructions
    • Follow written or visual instructions to create a model
    • Follow their own written instructions to make their own planned model
    • Explore different ways to connect materials together (e.g., stapler, screws, paper clips) and evaluate which is the strongest
