The learner can:

    • Show a recognition of at least five social sight words in the community
    • Show an understanding of the use of at least five social sight words in the community
    • Show an ability to use social sight words in the community on at least five occasions with verbal support
    • Demonstrate an ability to communicate the answer to a direct question using an appropriate communication method on at least five occasions
    • Demonstrate an ability to communicate a need for support using an appropriate communication method on at least five occasions
    • Demonstrate an ability to listen effectively to simple information and respond appropriately on at least five occasions
    • Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with unfamiliar adults in the community using an appropriate communication method on at least five occasions
