Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Identify hazards in three different rooms in a house or centre
    • Identify five safety rules to apply to children in three different age groups (eg -- making sure stairs are gated when looking after crawling babies or toddlers)
    • Identify two suitable activities each for children under one yr and for toddlers
    • State what the activities will be
    • State why these are suited to the chosen age group
    • List the resources required for each activity
    • Carry out the two activities
