Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Identify a minimum of two factors involved in a balanced diet.
    • State 3 types of food for each element of the Eatwell Plate.
    • Review current diet using his/her findings and state at least two changes he/she would make.
    • Explain each persons dietary needs ( allergies / vegetarian etc )
    • Research healthy starters, mains, and puddings that can be cooked using stated budget, identifying appropriate recipes.  Justify why this combination of recipes has been chosen.
