The learner will:

  1. Be able to prepare for yoga and participate in a yoga based warm up.

  2. Be able to sit or lie in stillness during a period of relaxation.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Wear appropriate clothing for a yoga session
    • Collect the equipment they need for a yoga session e.g. mat, water bottle
    • Set the equipment up in an appropriate area
    • Take part in a yoga warm up including:
      • Dynamic movement of different body parts
      • Guided static stretches
      • Dynamic 'Yoga' stretches 
    • Show that they can relax by:
      • Laying/sitting still for at least 5 minutes
      • Demonstrating an awareness of calm breathing
      • Changing position as directed
