Learning outcomes
What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Know what items of clothing and equipment are needed in order to take part in a swimming activity.
Be able to get ready for a swimming activity.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify appropriate clothing needed for the swimming activity eg swimming costume, swimming cap, goggles
- Identify any additional equipment or belongings that may also be needed eg towel, money, sports bag, buoyancy aid, soap, shampoo, brush
- Enter an individual cubical or area and ensure privacy
- Remove clothing
- Put on swimsuit
- Place all items of day clothing in locker or secure area and lock
