The learner will:

  1. Be able to research information on abandoned places.

  2. Be able to research information and create a presentation on an historical abandoned place.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Make a list of at least ten abandoned places around the world
    • Use at least two different information sources to research three different abandoned places (buildings) 
    • Find out one historical fact from each information source on each place
    • Research information and use it to create a PowerPoint presentation, to include:
      • The name of the place
      • The location of the place
      • The year it was built
      • The original purpose of the place
      • The reasons for the place becoming abandoned
      • Any future plans for the place
