What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Discuss the importance of wearing a uniform in the workplace and state what might happen if staff are not wearing uniforms
    • Discuss the importance of good timekeeping skills in the workplace, and state what might happen if staff are not on time for work
    • Discuss the importance of preparing the cafe ready for customers and state what might happen if the cafe is not ready for customers
    • Discuss the importance of staff training in the workplace and state what might happen if staff are not trained
    • Demonstrate following a uniform policy when working in a cafe
    • Demonstrate good timekeeping skills when working in a cafe
    • Demonstrate appropriate preparation of the cafe before it opens and after it has closed
    • Take part in staff training relevant for someone working in a cafe and demonstrate what has been learnt
