The learner will:

  1. Be able to identify kitchen equipment/appliances and what these are used for.

  2. Be able to be able to demonstrate using kitchen equipment/appliances safely.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Name five different pieces of equipment/appliances found in the kitchen
    • State what each one is used for
    • Choose three pieces of kitchen equipment/appliances and demonstrate using them safely
    • Produce a poster showing three pieces of equipment that can be dangerous in a kitchen and identify the safe ways to use them
