Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Put on appropriate PPE for motor vehicle cleaning
- Collect the various items needed to clean the motor vehicle (items as listed by support)
- Safely arrange these items ready for use
- Prepare the correct cleaning agents and detergents with direct 1:1 support
- Demonstrate using a hose or pressure washer safely to remove grime from the motor vehicle without damaging the paintwork
- Demonstrate cleaning the vehicle using a bucket and sponge
- Demonstrated drying the vehicle using a chamois leather
- Demonstrate cleaning the windows, using an appropriate window cleaning product
