Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Count up to 12 objects and place in a container when requested e.g. seed packets, plastic bottles, plant pots
    • Answer simple addition and subtraction word problems linked to nature e.g. if the shop has 5 seed packets and they sell 2, how many are left
    • Sequence the days of the week and record the weather daily
    • Identify the seasons and describe their characteristics
    • Identify 4 different shapes in the environment and give simple properties
    • Describe the location of an object outside using directional vocabulary
