The learner can:

    • Independently research crop rotation and growing dates for plants
    • Produce a plan of the allotment with a planting timetable
    • Discuss the difference between weeds and plants
    • Safely use a range of gardening tools to clear the site of rubbish and weeds
    • Discuss how to prepare the land
    • Safely use a range of feeds and nutrients to prepare the land
