What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do

The learner will:

  1. Be able to explain the difference between a 12hr and 24 hour clock.

  2. Be able to state the time using a 12hr and 24hr clock and place activities in the correct order of time.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Explain the difference between a 12hr clock and 24hr clock 
    • State the time using a digital clock or watch on at least four different occasions during the day eg break times, lunch time, bed time
    • State the time using an analogue clock on at least four occasions during the day
    • Record times given in hours and minutes using a digital clock eg 12:07am, 17:26 on at least four occasions
    • Place activities in the correct order of time throughout the day eg bus journey 09:36, shopping 11:07, dinner 12:35 etc on at least four occasions
    • State the correct time using a 12hr clock on at least four different occasions 
    • State the correct time using a 24hr clock on at least four different occasions
