Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Follow a simple instruction in getting ready for a craft making session, e.g. washing hands, putting on an apron
    • Follow a simple instruction in preparing an area for craft making e.g. clearing area, cleaning surfaces, collecting equipment
    • Follow a simple instruction to tidy a work area at the end of a craft making session
    • Identify possible dangers in a craft making context, with support 
    • Identify at least two things which it would be unsafe to do in a craft making context, with support
    • Identify what should be done if there is an accident, e.g. cuts, burns, spillages, breakages, with support
