What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • State and demonstrate a hygiene routine whilst preparing food; eg washing hands; tie hair back, wear an apron
    • State why different chopping boards are used in food preparation 
    • Explain the differences between healthy and unhealthy foods and the reason why these are categorised this way eg high in sugar; low in nutrition; high in vitamins
