The learner can:

    • Recognise and use a range appropriate hardware eg mobile phone, tablet, computer, interactive television, keyboard, mouse, touch screen, remote control
    • Recognise and use interface features eg icons, menus, option-boxes
    • Use a search engine to find a piece of information related to the work place
    • Edit, save, retrieve and review a piece of work
    • Use and explain the purpose for text messaging, voicemail and on-screen information in the workplace
    • Identify and correct simple errors in a message
    • Label an image
    • Receive and open an electronic message
    • Locate important information from on-screen texts eg emails, webpages
    • Use two different means to record information
    • Send information to someone in the workplace using two different means
