The learner can:

    • Use at least two different sources to research the history and development of computers eg Apollo rocket computers through to modern super computers
    • Research and carry out practical activities to compare what familiar processes would be like without computers eg booking a holiday, sending a letter
    • Discuss and identify the differences between the following:
      • desktop computers
      • laptops
      • tablets
      • touch screens
      • mobile phones
    • Create a list of technical terms used in computing eg RAM, bytes, modem and explain what they mean
