The learner can:

    • Follow the staff modelling of how to tie a single figure of eight knot and a double figure of eight knot
    • Know how to tie a single figure of eight knot independently
    • Suggest one important thing to consider when choosing a site for a shelter
    • Follow health and safety guidance when constructing a shelter
    • Work as part of a team to securely attach ropes to the tarpaulin and fixed points
    • Ensure the shelter is suitable for the purpose intended
